Collection: Harry Hibbert

Harry Hibbert is a mixed media visual artist with a primary focus on print and expanded photography. In an age marked by an unrelenting deluge of imagery through various mediums, spanning from the realms of social media to advertising and informational content, Hibbert confronts the contemporary phenomenon of visual oversaturation that has become an accepted norm in our society.

Drawing inspiration from this context, Hibbert meticulously curates discarded visual artefacts that come his way, transforming them into paper pulp. This pulp then serves as the foundation for a new canvas, one adorned with collaged images that have been intricately compressed to the point where they coalesce into a mottled grey shade reminiscent of the concrete that pervades our urban landscapes.

This concrete-like surface, itself akin to a foundation, is where the artist's true alchemy takes place. Employing an array of analogue film media and printing techniques, Hibbert crafts scenes that convey a state of transcendent presence.
