Harry Hibbert is a mixed media visual artist with a primary focus on print and expanded photography. Hibbert confronts the contemporary phenomenon of visual over saturation that has become an accepted norm in society. Drawing inspiration from this context, he meticulously curates discarded visual artefacts and centres them as the focal point of his practice. He seeks to realign the viewer's gaze that is easily corrupted by technological artifice and in doing so, encourages them to consider their presence and the spectrum of the candid and enigmatic of our lived experience. For Lines of Site, Hibbert has produced a series of textile sculptures adorned with cyanotypes of photographs taken in the local area from club nights which are culturally important in expressing public freedom. He finds arrangements of found objects within their environment, discovering unintentional assemblages.
